Bluegrass is awesome. Bluegrass festivals are even better. I think I like Bluegrass so much because is was born from mountain people with few posessions who endured a tough esistence eeking out a life on what little crops can be grown in thin, rocky soil. Yet, despite these conditions, much of the original music was about the “sweet savior Jesus” and the “home a’waitin’.”
Like one of my seminary professors once said, “show me a Christian who has suffered, and I’ll show you a mature Christian.” true. true.
