Isaiah 3:14 - “…the plunder from the poor is in your houses.”  I’m reading “Simple Spirituality” by Christopher Heuertz and he quoted this verse in his mantra about giving and keeping.  It’s kicking my butt.  I can’t get it out of my head.  He claims that it’s not what we give, but what we keep that defines the depth of our love for those who are poor.  I agree with him.
